A look back at David Servat’s speech

David’s talk opened with the observation that industrial SMEs and ETIs in France, Italy and Germany are still not very committed to adopting AI, robotics or simulation technologies, as confirmed by a recent study by La Fabrique de l’Industrie and McKinsey. This slowdown could be explained by an underestimation of the rapid returns on investment, or a “wait-and-see” attitude to the speed at which these technologies are evolving. This reinforces the need for structured support, based on expertise, demonstrators and experimental environments.

This is the context in which AI-MATTERS andEDIH Paris-Saclay operate, and the first two years of activity have seen an increase in the number of projects supported and a diversification of industrialized use cases.

The French offer, supported by CEA-List’s PRISM platform, gives start-ups and SMEs access to a first industrial contract at a reduced cost (25% of the initial cost), while benefiting from privileged access to cutting-edge expertise and equipment to accelerate their developments.

This R&D Corner provided an opportune setting for sharing key information on innovation schemes and exchanging views with the players present.
