On 13 March 2025, Global Industrie hosted a round table discussion on ‘Public tools for disseminating artificial intelligence in the economy’. Clarisse Poidevin took part in this round table as a representative of TEF Manufacturing (AI-Matters), alongside Jean-Noel Patillon, deputy director of CEA-List and Isabelle Galy, OTESIA project manager.
Round table pitch: “Numerous public tools have emerged in recent years to accelerate the spread of AI across all sectors. They can take the form of centers of excellence in research and training, collaborative platforms between researchers and industry, or impact observatories. This round-table discussion highlights collaborations between institutions, researchers and companies to meet tomorrow’s challenges and deploy concrete AI solutions in the service of industrial competitiveness.”
At this round table, the central role played by the European TEFs (test and experimentation facilities), co-financed by Europe as part of the Digital Europe program, was presented.
In particular, the role of AI-Matters dedicated to the manufacturing sector was illustrated. Through its robotics and AI testing and experimentation infrastructures and its range of services, AI-Matters supports companies in evaluating and adopting artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The example of Efalia, an SME specialising in document management and supported by AI-Matters’ French node, illustrates one of the services offered by the system: the evaluation of an intelligent code generator to extend the capabilities of Efalia’s software solution.
The round table recalled the many obstacles to the adoption of artificial intelligence by businesses. These included the problems of integrating AI solutions into companies’ hardware and information systems. Another example of a Manufacturing TEF service with a robotics manufacturer illustrated how AI-Matters can help SMEs overcome these difficulties.
AI-Matters’ presence at Global Industrie was a great opportunity to promote the adoption of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing industry. By highlighting its initiatives, AI-Matters encourages companies to explore the benefits of AI, enabling them to position themselves closer to innovation and take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital transformation.
