On October 9, 2025, EVOLIS brought together some sixty decision-makers from industry, research and institutions at Digiteo at CEA Saclay for a day devoted to the links between innovation, sovereignty and defense needs.<\/p>\n\n

Marc Troia (Huron Graffenstaden) opened the discussions by highlighting the challenges facing the industry today. Contributions from Chlo\u00e9 Dion and Rudolph Ganzel (EVOLIS), as well as Jeremy Leonard (Oxford Economics), then addressed developments in the machine tool market, in a rapidly changing economic and industrial context. <\/p>\n\n

Continuing the exchanges, Clarisse Poidevin presented the AI-MATTERS initiative and its support schemes, particularly aimed at SMEs, to accelerate the integration of AI into production processes. The opportunity was also taken to launch a questionnaire with participants, to gather their expectations and guide the design of future workshops targeted within the framework of the project. <\/p>\n\n

B\u00e9atrice Rivalier (VLM Robotics) went on to illustrate the contribution of additive manufacturing to the imperatives of resilience and autonomy, directly linked to the needs of the defense industry.<\/p>\n\n

The day also included a tour of the PRISMA platform, presented by Ana\u00efs Baumard (Additive Manufacturing Platform Manager), which enabled participants to discover a PRISM platform capability dedicated to digital continuity in additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n

The afternoon refocused discussions on the strategic dimension. General Charles Beaudouin (COGES EVENTS) discussed defense and security issues on a national and European scale. Alexandre Pons (Direction G\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l’Armement) detailed joint working frameworks with industry to accelerate the adoption of new capabilities. The discussions concluded with a round table of EVOLIS industrialists, highlighting concrete feedback from the field on their integration into the defense ecosystem and their response to operational needs. With a mix of economic analysis, technological demonstrators and strategic exchanges, the day provided a comprehensive overview of the levers of industrial sovereignty. It confirmed the importance of an ongoing dialogue between players, supported by concrete initiatives. AI-MATTERS intends to continue this support work, building on the expectations expressed to offer targeted workshops to guide SMEs towards appropriate solutions. <\/p>\n\n
